about miracle
(click shay to see his big version-ness!)
the miracle link there at the top of the page.. i’ve wanted to finish that story in comic form since i was in high school.. each time i tried it, i’d get pretty far before something would happen and i’d have to stop or start over.
my first try was in 2004, and those pages are still there. the reason for quitting it then was probably a mixture of freshman year of college, and losing my brush pen. after i lost my awesome brush pen, the way i preferred to draw changed so dramatically that i wouldn’t like how different the pages started to look from each other.
my second try never even made it to my scanner. i sketched out all four chapters, and then midterms just PUNCHED ME IN THE FACE.
ow.
my third try was last year, and i really liked how those four pages turned out. the problem with why i haven’t updated in so long is that my old computer died and my new one won’t interface with my scanner anymore — in other words, none of the pretty pencil lines that i love to paint over.
without a scanner, i’m left to draw my stuff in opencanvas and paint it in there, but the trouble is getting my crap to look UNIFIED to the pencilled comics i’ve done in the past.
oh yes, and i like to think i’ve improved a bit in the way i draw anatomy and backgrounds between each attempt, at least.
i wonder if i should start completely over with this new style, or if it looks similar enough that it might not bother me as much.
eeehhhhh.
